CALL FOR AHIMSA .... What AHIMSA means ?
The central tenet is non-violence and love towards all living beings
Don’t strike,
Don’t harm,
Don’t kill
No injury by deed,
No injury by word
No injury by thought

Ahimsa is a central concept of all religions based on love
We need to apply it in the world we live in
a violent world where the violence against women attains unimaginable levels

We are surrounded by
domestic and sexual violence, human trafficking, forced prostitution, sex slavery, rape, honor killings, dowry murders, widow murders, femicide , female infanticide, forced marriage, pedophilic marriages, street harassment, whipping, stoning, beheading …
This is the world we live in

Let’s start an imaginary journey in this world which suffers so much
Violence against women is spread everywhere from North to South, from East to West

Let’s start with Nordic Countries –they are the most gender-equal nations in the world! But perplexingly they have disproportionately high rate of intimate partner violence against women

IN European countries all surveys on violence against women reach alarming level. For example one in ten women has experienced a form of sexual violence since the age of 15

In countries like Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary, Poland, Latvia, Bulgaria and Slovakia, marital rape was not recognized as a crime.

Also forced marriage is criminalized only in relation to the trafficking of human beings In a number of Member States. But, many cases are unreported.

Sexual exploitation and forced labor are the most known and common forms of human trafficking spread everywhere in the world

Honor crimes take place worldwide and are based on a variety of cultural and religious practices, including Christians and Jews, however, honor crimes are mostly associated with the Islam

Female genital mutilation is found in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and within communities from countries in which FGM is common
And these are not all forms of violence against women!
I f we would put them on a list, the list will become so long

The violence against women is the source of all the other forms of violence , it is that kind of violence which being fed, can lead to disaster, disharmony, dehumanization.

Elimination of the violence against women means returning to a lost paradise of the beginnings or to live the life of paradise here, now, in our world

So, let’s change the world!

Together Lets find solutions to end this daily plague of violence, spreading and increasing throughout the world
